NP (SL) Limited CEO Speaks at 11th WAMZ Trade Ministers’ Forum

NP (SL) Limited CEO has addressed Participants at the 11th WAMZ Trade Ministers’ Forum.
Saidu Mansaray introduced NP at the platform as one of the oldest businesses in Sierra Leone, whose history could be traced back to 1954, the days of British Petroleum, to date. He said NP is one of the largest petroleum product marketers in SL, enjoying about 52% of the market leadership.
Mr Mansaray told the international platform that the Company is blessed with a vibrant management team comprising various professionals, some with over decades of experience in the petroleum industry.
“We play a key role in the socio-economic development of the country, and we are arguably one of the most capitalised companies in the country. We are one of the biggest taxpayers in Sierra Leone. We operate in about 18 retail outlets in Freetown and over 19 in the provinces.”
According to the CEO, NP has the largest filling stations in the country; over 200 independent distributors and satellite stations through which fuel is made available to the entire country and, in conjunction with suppliers, the Company owns the biggest storage facility. The brand he said is present in five countries in Africa; Sierra Leone, Liberia, Guinea, The Gambia, and Cote D’Ivoire.
Addressing the issues of cross regional trade, Mr Mansaray highlighted the following as challenges: entry restrictions, taxes, cultural barriers, immgration restrictions, and many more.
