In February 2018, Oryx Energies announced the sale of its LPG operations in Guinea (Conakry) to NP Group Limited, a Sierra Leonean company. 

This sale marks the evolution of its LPG strategy, which prioritizes increasing its market share and strengthening its leading position in growth markets. Present in Guinea (Conakry) since 2012, Oryx built a filling center and began distributing LPG in September 2013. 

NP Group Ltd, present in 5 countries in West Africa (Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Gambia and Guinea), with more than 30 years of experience in the import, transport and distribution of petroleum products, created NP Guinea SA or NP GAZ to fully take over the activities of Oryx Energies, now being operational and well established in the Guinean LPG market. 

Still wishing to expand its activities in the oil sector, NP Group Limited also took the opportunity to create, in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Guinea, a second subsidiary, NP Oil SA, in December 2018, in the form of a public limited company, following the acquisition of the company HDI Energy SA. 

The corporate purpose of NP Group Limited, through its subsidiaries NP Guinée SA or NP GAZ and NP Oil SA, whose headquarters are located in Kaporo, in the Ratoma district of Conakry, Guinea, as well as abroad, is: 

– The import, storage, export, distribution, wholesale, semi-wholesale and retail sale of petroleum products and their derivatives 

– And all industrial, commercial, financial, movable and immovable property operations, which may be directly or indirectly related to the above purpose, similar or related, and which may facilitate its extension or development.
