NP (SL) Limited presents NLE10Thousand, cleaning materials to Kissy Pipeline Community

National Petroleum Limited Sierra Leone has presented a sum of Ten thousand new Leones and some cleaning and garbage collection and disposal items to the Kissy Pipeline Community to support street cleaning.

To facilitate community cleaning exercise in the Pipeline Kissy Community, NP (SL) Limited  provided basic cleaning and garbage collection and disposal tools like, wheelbarrows, pick axes, metal rakes, safety gloves, shovels, strong brooms, rubber trash cans, flashers, nose masks, rubber gloves and some empty bags for collection and disposal of garbage.

Presenting the items and money to the community on behalf of NP (SL) Ltd, Senior Operations Engineer, Alhaji Munu said as a responsible company, NP (SL) Ltd deemed it necessary to contribute to the community in which it is operating to support cleaning exercise. He also mentioned that it is largely part of the Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility to positively impact the community in such a way. “We believe it is our role to support the cleaning exercise which is normally undertaken by the youths themselves to ensure that we all have a tidy environment.” He said.

Speaking at the event, representing Member of Parliament Constituency 119, Senesi Mansaray said he is well pleased with NP’s gesture to provide the community with the cleaning items and expressed the view that the NP must be exalted for such gesture. “We are looking for more physical developments in the Pipeline Community from NP and neighboring establishments.” Mr. Mansaray also implored the Company to continue the wonderful venture and to honor all commitments towards the Pipeline community.

Community Youth Leader, Alie Kamara expressed thanks and appreciation to the Company for the items and money provided to support cleaning exercise in the community. He further applauded the Company for their continued support to the Community in ensuring that positive relations remain strengthened. Mr. Kamara promised that he will encourage his colleague youths to handle the items with proper care for the longest time possible.
