Economy: A new Oil Group sets up in Ivory Coast

The petroleum product distribution sector is booming. As proof, a newcomer has just started establishing itself on Ivorian territory. And it is the commune of Abobo that the NP Côte d’Ivoire group chose, this Wednesday, June 2, 2021, to set up first.

The Abidjanese in general and the Abobolais in particular are now offered the services of a new group distributing petroleum products. For the installation of its first service station, NP group Côte d’Ivoire preferred the Belle-ville district. Construction of the structure began in May 2020 and its commissioning took place this Wednesday. For Mohamed Kanu, general manager, this establishment is not only a mark of confidence in the Ivorian economy but also a vision of his company. In addition, he announced the upcoming inauguration of other gas stations, notably in Grand Bassam and Yopougon.

Mrs. Kadidjatou Coulibaly, business manager, was delighted, on behalf of the group’s customers, to be one of the privileged witnesses of this opening. She also wished the newcomer good luck. As for Eric Konan, general manager of ABS consulting and representative of the structure’s partners, he highlighted the importance of supporting and encouraging African investment in Africa.

Sales manager Ade Claude expressed his gratitude to everyone. He invited everyone to use the products of NP Côte d’Ivoire, a subsidiary of NP group. It should be noted that the history of the company dates back to 1954. It took the name NP group in 2015 and today has 7 subsidiaries including that of Côte d’Ivoire which has capital of 500 million FCFA. NP group, based in Sierra Leone, operates in West Africa.
