Company History

In February 2018, Oryx Energies announced the sale of its LPG operations in Guinea (Conakry) to NP Group Limited, a Sierra Leonean company.
This sale marks the evolution of its LPG strategy which favors increasing its market share and strengthening its leading position in growing markets. Present in Guinea (Conakry) since 2012, Oryx built a filling center and began the distribution of LPG in September 2013. NP Group Limited to create NP Guinée SAU or NP GAZ to take over the activities of Oryx Energies fully operational and well present on the Guinean LPG market.
Present in Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast and Gambia, NP Group Limited, always seeking to expand its activities in the oil sector, also seized the opportunity to create, according to the laws in the Republic of Guinea, a second NP subsidiary. Oïl SA in December 2018 in the form of a Limited Company after the acquisition of the company HDI Energy SA. NP OIL SA is 100% owned by the sole shareholder Mohamed Babatounde Cole.
The corporate purpose of NP Group Limited through its subsidiaries NP Guinée SAU or NP GAZ and NP OIL SA, in Guinea and abroad is:
  • Import, storage, export, distribution, wholesale, semi-wholesale and retail sales of petroleum products and their derivatives
  • And all industrial, commercial, financial, movable and real estate operations, which may be directly or indirectly linked to the object referred to above, similar or related and likely to facilitate its extension or development.
