As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) endeavours, NP (SL) Ltd. has supported Cancer UK-Salone to raise awareness about Prostate Cancer in Sierra Leone.<\/div>\n
The sponsorship is geared towards significantly contributing to raising awareness and shedding light on the health issue that is affecting millions of men, especially black men worldwide.<\/div>\n
By supporting the Campaign, NP Sierra Leone is joining the global movement through Cancer UK-Salone\u2019s initiative to lend a local voice to the course.<\/div>\n

With the support from the Company and other partners, Cancer UK-Salone held a TED Talk and panel discussion on Prostate Cancer at St. Anthony\u2019s Hall with different groups in attendance, providing a platform for expert insights and advocacy about the disease.<\/div>\n
Chaired by Donald Davies Cole, the panel constituted Batllio Warritay, Prof. Babatunde Duduyemi, a Pathologist at Connaught Hospital, Tina Davies, Founder of Cancer UK-Salone, and Dr. Len Gordon Harris, a radiologist at Choithrams Hospital. The panelists discussed issues such as what Prostate Cancer is, its symptoms, how it is diagnosed, and the treatment methods available.<\/div>\n
In addition to the TED Talk, Cancer UK-Salone organised a massive health walk that attracted the private sector, government and some local non-governmental organisations (NGOs), to raise awareness about the disease.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Walk featured His Excellency Julius Maada Bio Maada Bio, the First Lady of Sierra Leone, Fatima Maada Bio, Health Minister, Dr. Austin Demby along with other private sector partners, members of the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF), and the Sierra Leone Police Force. The participants walked from the Freetown Golf Club to Family Kingdom and back.<\/div>\n
